Report of the Chair on the Work of the Planning Committee

This report gives an overview of the key items considered by the Committee at its meeting on 29 April 2026 and 27 May 2026.

1. Planning Committee Meeting – 29 April 2026

1.1 The Committee considered two applications.

1.2 Application No. 24/01452/OUT - Outline application with approval sought for partial approval of access (highway access and primary estate road), with details of access (secondary estate roads), scale, layout, appearance and landscaping reserved, for the demolition of existing buildings and structures and the redevelopment of the site for up to 80 residential units and the provision of open space and a play area, plus associated works for landscaping, parking areas, pedestrian, cycle and vehicular routes.

1.3 The application was approved subject to the prior completion of a Section 106 agreement, and subject to removal of Condition 26.

1.4 Application No. 26/00017/FUL – Change of use from a dwelling (Use Class C3) to a children’s care home (Use Class C2).

1.5 The application was approved with changes to Conditions 3 and 4.

2. Planning Committee Meeting – 27 May 2026

2.1 The Committee considered two applications.

2.2 Application No. 26/00234/FUL - Erection of a 4m high acoustic fence, with associated landscaping and lighting and amendments to the Unit Base Management Plan at Car Park 11.

2.3 The application was approved with the change to Condition 5.

2.4 Application No. 25/01482/FUL - Change of use from Public House (Sui Generis) to a single residential dwelling (Class C3) including demolition of rear structures and internal and external associated works

2.5 The application was approved as per the agenda.
